Hey everyone! How are you all doing? Today, I’ll be sharing some of the mission trip that I went on last week to Kentucky. I hope that you enjoy reading about it!
Here we all are right before we left. The van that we rented came three hours late so we were all very excited once it got there. Sadly, the other car that we brought broke down and an hour into the trip, we had to turn around and go back to pick up a different car. We only got to Kentucky five hours later then planned. Pretty good right?
We all had a ton of fun there. We went to an orphanage, a special needs home, painted a house, did a dance camp, and performed a lot. We were very busy but enjoyed every moment of it!
We had a blast in the car! It was either really loud or really quite. 😉
There’s us having Bible time with the kids. The kids there were awesome. They were all very sweet and I miss them a ton! A lot of them were very poor but they were still very happy and content with what they had. Also, it was a small town and everybody knew each other. Which I thought was cool.
Has anyone else ever been to Kentucky before? It’s gorgeous there!
I had a ton of fun dancing there with my friends! This is a picture of me dancing to “Something In The Water” by Carrie Underwood.” Does anyone else love that song?
So, I went horseback riding for first time while we were there. ( I’m the one in the blue shirt. ) It was amazing and scary! It was all going good when my horse started running as fast as it could, ( through the woods.) I was freaking out and laughing/crying but everything was okay. Just scared me to death!
Here’s us while we were painted the house. 🙂 We all had a great time!
Here’s some of us at the hotel. We were all getting tired so we took turns giving each other rides on the luggage cart.
Here are two of my crazy friends. We all had a good time and goofed off a little bit.
This is a picture of me and my friend, Lily, while we were painting the house. We all enjoyed painting it other then the fact that we got blue paint all over us.
We got to see this waterfall while we were there and it was gorgeous!
Thanks for reading!
Has anyone else gone on a mission trip before? Has anyone been horseback riding? Which picture was your favorite?
This sounds so fun! I hope you had an awesome time, because it certainly looks like you did 🙂

This mission trip looks like it was fun. And I recognize a few of the girls from when I danced there. They’ve grown so much!
I also wanted to let you know that I tagged you in the Liebster Award. Not sure if you’ve been tagged yet, but here it is: http://morganhuneke.blogspot.com/2015/06/tag-week-pt-1-liebster-award.html

Yeah, Kolie was such a little thing when I was dancing, and I hardly recognize Holly anymore.
I couldn’t find it, but I guess I’ll hunt it up and see. 🙂 I have another tag this week I tagged you in, if you want to do it, to share your top ten favorite screen characters. http://morganhuneke.blogspot.com/2015/06/tag-week-pt-2-favorite-screen.html

This looks like a fun trip! You must have been a blessing to the kids you interacted with. 🙂 It also looks like there are pretty places in Kentucky.
I’ve gone horseback riding on trail rides a few times and on a friend’s horse (with her right there!) It must have been scary when the horse started running! It reminds me of a time when I was on a trail ride and tried to speed up my horse’s walk and she started trotting instead. O.o

Yes, this trip was very fun and Kentucky was very pretty! Yeah, I was really nervous a couple times when me horse would trot instead of just walking. Having it run was also very scary and but fun in a way. 😉

I’m so glad Maddy so had fun! I would love to go on a mission trip to Mexico, but I thinks it’s a little to dangerous. We might go to Toronto Canada though, someday. I REALLY want to go to a mission trip with our church though. I remember the last one was A BLAST! I love your design by the way. 🙂

Yeah, I’ve never had a runaway (yet :3) but that doesn’t sound like it would be the most loved experience when you don’t expect or want it!

Hi Maddy! Cool pics (I love the Jesus is watching you!). Do you know what part of Kentucky? I have relatives who live in by Louisville. That’s great that you had a good time, all while helping/doing things for others!

Yes, that trip was absolutely amazing. I switched dance schools so I couldn’t go on the trip again but my old school went back to the same place in Kentucky last week and got home today and one of my closest friends went this week and it’s been so great to hear about it and how things are going in the town. I want to go back more than ever right now though. The people in that town are just amazing. 💗

I grew up in a small village (too small to be considered a town), and it’s actually where I’m moving back to for a short time. It’s great you are able to hear updates : )
