Hi Maddy!
Awesome picture 🙂
I was wondering something. Since you said you had a parakeet that would let you hold him, I was wondering if you could give me some tips on how to train mine? I would love it if you could!!! Thanks 🙂

No problem! I’ll just tell you from here…
Do your parakeets let you hold them at all? If not, really the best way to start is to just put your hand in there cage with some food. Get something that they really like to eat and sometimes it takes a day, while with others it might take a week, but sooner or later, they should start getting on your hand and eating the food out of it. Also, if you got the kind of bird that doesn’t bite the mess out of you when you try to get it, then your supposed to try to hold it two times a day for about fifteen minutes each time. You do that so that it can get used to you. Once we did that for awhile with our bird, it started getting better when we held it and it wouldn’t try to flying away. You can ( once it gets better with you
holding it ) you can start holding longer and more then just twice a day. Just start trying that and let me know how it goes! Feel free to comment anytime to ask questions. 😀

He will not let me hold him 😦 But he is kinds letting me pet him a little before flying away. I got some millet but he wont eat it ( even if I just put it in his cage)
I think I might have scared him when I first got him. I would rush things a little ( at my moms persistence 🙂 )
So I will keep trying to just put my hand in his cage and get him use to me 🙂
Thanks again Maddy…….you are so sweet 🙂
