Hello everyone! I have had many requests for a photography tips post in the past, so I have finally decided to do one. This is the first time I’ve doing anything like this, and I am looking forward it. I hope that you enjoy this post and that it will help with your photography.
1. Look for the little things.
There are going to be times when you may see a breath-taking view or a pretty sunset, you’ll take it’s picture, and it will turn out gorgeous. I love it when something amazing is placed in front of me and all I have to do is click a button. There are times though when I go outside and I see nothing that inspires me. I look around and I don’t see anything that catches my eye. I have recently learn that sometimes it’s the littlest things that are gorgeous, they just aren’t easily spotted. Sometimes instead of looking for the obvious things, look for the little things that no one seems to notice. They can turn into great pictures.
2. Try different angles and locations.
Pictures aren’t always going to turn out exactly the way you want them too, they may be fuzzy or focus on something else. One way to help not have those problems is to ( if possible ) try taking the picture in a different location or trying a different angle. There are many times when I try taking pictures of things and it’s just not turning out right, I move locations or hold my camera a different way and it turns out the way I wanted it to.
3. Look into the settings of your camera.
So, this is actually something I just started a few weeks ago. ( Oops ) My camera was set on automatic and I just left it that way, I never read the manual or anything. After finally deciding to I realized that it had many more settings and features then I even knew about. I was absolutely amazed with it all and it’s definitely something I recommend doing from
4. Making your camera focus right.
I have always struggled with focusing on just the right thing. I’ll be focusing on something and it’s looking good, then I’ll move a tiny bit and it’s on something completely different. My new favorite way to focus on something is to move the zoom button is very little at a time. If I go to fast, it stops focusing on what I want. If I take my time though and slowly zoom the camera up close to what I want to take a picture of, it works much better.
5. Have fun!
Photography has been a love of mine for as long as I can remember. I do it because I have fun while I do it. I love going outside and seeing what I can find to take pictures of. Sometimes I’ll challenge myself and I’ll stay outside until I have a certain amount of pictures that I feel like turned out good. Have fun while doing photography, don’t get to caught up with trying to get “ the perfect picture” like I used to be. Go out and have fun. Try your best to get some good shots, but it’s okay if every picture doesn’t turn out exactly the way you want it to. Just keep on trying and have fun with it.
Thank you all for reading! I hope that these five tips help you in some way. I feel like over the past year my love for photography has grown a lot. It started with getting this blog and now opening my etsy shop, Maddy Crone Photography. Thanks to everyone for all the encouragement that you have given me this past year!
Thanks for the tips!! 😀

Those are such beautiful pictures! I tried photography for a little bit, but I don’t do it too much now. Although on the rare occasion that I do go for a photo session, I love to do it early in the morning when the sky is orange and everything is lit up. It’s so beautiful.
